Daily activities were planned around the use of the five senses. The children in Willow Lodge organised an experiment which involved placing some eggs in different types of liquid. They found that the shell corroded when placed in the blackcurrant squash and were able to relate that too much sugary drinks can cause tooth decay. The children in Sycamore Lodge enjoyed going for a ‘Feely’ walk into the woodland and were encouraged to explore and explain the different textures of natural objects. The children in Saplings enjoyed exploring the different pairs of glasses.
