Forthcoming Activities and Events in March

3rd-7th March is Chatter Matters Week – throughout the week we will be focussing on the 5 key strategies for promoting quality communication with children.  These are being face to face, repeating words, joining in play, keeping it simple and speaking slowly.  The Big Red Chatter Bus is visiting Rugby on 6th March and will be at Cawston Children’s Centre, Rugby Library and Rugby College, please feel free to pop along to the sessions with your child.

Thursday 6th March is World Book Day – each year we have a fancy dress day to raise money for Crackerjacks Children’s Trust a charity helping children with severe disabilities. This year we have decided that the children in Willow and Sycamore Lodge will be holding a Princesses and Pirates Day and Acorns and Saplings Rooms are having a pyjama day and focussing on language, story  and song bags that parents may borrow to take home and share with their children.   We will be forwarding further information as an attachment.

Thursday 6th March Tempest Photography – will be in nursery from 9.30 until 12 and then 2pm until 4.30.  All children who attend on this day will automatically be photographed, proofs will be available to take away on the day and there is no pressure to buy.  If your child does not usually attend on this day please feel free to come along during the times mentioned above.  If you wish your child to be photographed wearing something other than their pirate costume, princess dress or pyjamas please bring a change of clothes on the day.
